Perodua today launched its Twitter-based free safety check called Tweckbot, where P2 owners with a Twitter account can send a request to a mobile team to carry out a 15-point safety check, if the latter happens to be nearby.
The Tweckbot – which combines Twitter, check and robot to get the name – is also what Perodua’s mobile team is called. Five of these mobile teams will ply 14 locations within the Klang Valley between now and August 10 – in time for the Raya holidays – to provide the free safety check for Perodua owners.
The 15-point check includes an engine, transmission, coolant system (include coolant level as well as fan and temperature) and brake system check. Other items on the checklist include the power steering, tyres, suspension and electrical system.
The mobile teams can potentially check 40 vehicles per day, depending on weather and traffic condition. Locations covered include Subang, Ampang, Sentul, Kg. Baharu, Cheras, Serdang, Puchong, Wangsa maju, Selayang, Shah Alam (section 1-14), Shah Alam (Section 15-24), Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bangsar and Petaling Jaya.
To secure an appointment, Perodua owners need to have a Twitter account, and follow the Perodua team on @MYPerodua to know where and when the Tweckbot team will be in their neighbourhood. Vehicles that need proper servicing, maintenance and repair will then be channeled to service centres of the customer’s choice.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
“free safety check called Tweckbot” – What a craps, no matter how they check the car, Viva or kancil is a very unsafe car, remembered last year prior to Raya accident at PLUS near Gurun, a kancil collided with lorry that inflame and killed a family.
Anything which collides with a lorry has a very slim
chance of survival. There is no car that can claim to
be lorry crash proof. Can Proton guarantee this !!??
Pakai otak lah any car oso hancur even with 12 airbags !!
theres one vehicle that can survive .. its called a tank .. XD
This is not a head-on collision! You get the point!
Lame…LOL
a pointless exercise to get publicity only. each team can inspect up to 40 cars a day. so 5 teams can do 200 cars assuming maximum efficiency. and in 20 days 4000 cars.
but there are hundreds of thousands if not at least a million p2 cars on the road. real lame publicity stunt by p2!!!
aha … your proton i-care also same… now also death already.
oh, man…!
clever marketing there
if you notice, P2 always publicizes themselves no matter there is issue or not. their sales is really bad now, last month myvi sold only 1k plus compare to saga 6k i think. no matter what the reason is, their strategies which is never ending appearance in masses media is going no where if the products offered still the old same thing even though with different tag. what they know now is to market market and market only. but when the time is comes, fresh brand new product do matter most that will win the market. i think that time is now. publicity publicity and publicity can go where?
i guess it comes down to the MD of the company.. if he likes cheap publicity, here it is Tweckbot.. i can understand publicity but this is CHEAP.. waste of time.. waste of money.. plain rubbish..
The main reason why Proton finally managed to tapau Perodua is due to Perodua’s very few car models which are recycled many times with different tags, making the consumers feel damn bored. Previously Perodua used to have a line-up of up to 6 models but now they only have 3 models to sell. They used to have the Nautica as the replacement of the Kembara, but because of the stupid decision of their top management to have them manufactured in Japan but with Perodua badges, the price tag was twice the price of a Kembara. As a result, Perodua outlets struggled to sell even one.
What is this all about? Is it necessary? Waste of time
tweckbot..? sounds dirty..
So sad, this article tak mendapat sambutan mcm article Saga FLX. 11 comment je? isk isk. But overal, I think this campaign does not have significant effect on safety of your car. The most effective way is the owner check by himself. But ofcourse the owner need to have technical knowledge of the car. Why must have rely on 3rd party. Ciss.
half-baked idea with a terribly uninspiring concept-name. heads should roll..!
i just saw one of these “bots”on the road this morning driving like a steroid laden road bully early in the morning 8am and i am sure the driver will be in hospital in no time when crash heads on….
bye bye p2 for creating more road bully…
Malaysians really can’t have nice things la. Orang nak start something good pun komplen itu ini. Benda ni kena bayar ke? Benda ni dah start lama ke? Tak kan? Baru nak start kan? Free check-up kan? A bonus for your car safety kan? Abih yang nak komplen whine-whine ni pehal? Esok kalau P2 tiba2 cakap “today we’re giving away free cars” pun still komplen jugak la kan? Malaysia Boleh la. Boleh komplen 24 jam. P2: Kudos. Whiners: Bury your heads in the sand please.
P1 introduces saga FLX also not so ‘grand’ like P2 tweckbot. saga FLX is the real thing that need more publicity actually. small thing (tweckbot) want to make big-big also ka?
I have try this Perodua Tweckbot..So far, i think i love the initiatives make by Perodua especially during this festive season..Should do it regularly ,
