Test Drive Kia On Tour is back, EURO 2012 tickets for grabs

[UPDATE: Visitors who book a KIA car at the roadshow will also get a chance to win.]

If you love football then you might this piece of news of interest.

KIA will be giving you a chance to win tickets to Ukraine in June to watch this year’s biggest football event – the EURO 2012. Kia Motors is, after all, the official sponsor for EURO 2012.

The mechanics are simple, visit the ‘Test Drive Kia On Tour’ roadshow at selected venues, test drive a Kia and you’ll get a chance to win the trip to Ukraine. They gave away a Forte 1.6 EX last year.

There are six Kia cars available at the event – the Optima K5, Sportage, Sorento, Forte, Forte Koup and the Rondo MPV.

The roadshow starts in One Utama in, from March 28 to April 1, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. The roadshow will then head to KSL City Mall (Johor) from April 13 to April 15, The Curve (PJ) from May 18 to May 20 and Queensbay Mall (Penang) from May 24 to May 27.

At each venue, visitors will stand a chance to win one grand prize comprising of airfare, accommodation and a EURO 2012 match ticket to the Group B match between Germany and Netherlands.

The grand prize winner of each venue will be announced on the last day of each roadshow at 9:00 pm. Of course there are other gifts to take home when you test drive a Kia or sign up to become a Kia Malaysia fan on Facebook at the venues.

Sorry, I will not even test drive or even get close to a Korean car. Not worth the effort and money. Better wait for P3-21A.

Been thinking. How much is the saving by organizing such event compared to providing test drive units in all their outlets?

Kia very hard to get test drive unit.

After few rounds of such event, they should come to break-even in term of cost. The advantage of having test units in all outlets is, customer can come and test the car at anytime.

You must understand the atittute of those so called Korean Car Fanboy, they just want to test for fun & then come write about in in blog or forum “imaginating them self as professional car tester, infact most of them can’t afford or don’t dare to risk of getting a low residue value, cheap to own but expensive to maintain korean car.

They come here talk a lot but never have the guts to walk the talk or put thir money where their mouth is.

I guess that could be 1 of the reason Naza do not intend to have test unit in every showroom.

Paul, someone’s gotta give, and you gave it right in his face.

Seriously, until today, i can’t fathom this guy’s attitude. Don’t like Korean cars, bash with pointless drifts. When we respond, childish rants are given out. I think this guy really needs a reality check, as we aren’t pro-Korean or Jap, or even Contis for the matter. Instead, their mentality of Jap supremacy is the most sickening part where it’s like dishing out the dirt on us, then hiding their hands to show as if they did nothing wrong.

Cheers Paul, and once again, as Ash Menon said, well executed burn.

5 childhood friends each of them just bought themselves a brand new D segment car,Mr. A got himself an Accord, C got a Camry, K got a K5, M got a Mondeo and T got a Teana. 5 of them drove all the way to Kuala Selangor to test their new drive and enjoy the beautiful fireflies night scenary. Then they planed to have a drink back in KL. Once they all reached downtown, they found A is missing, so they called him”where are u lar bro?” A replied “I am still at Kuala Selangor lar bro, dxmn I can’t find my key hole!” Others talked to themselves “lucky I got a push-start button…” :-)

Wow.. dont get me worng here man… wat I was telling Bob here was, I couldnt find any (I mean even a single review) bad LOCAL reviews on the car…

and by the way, I did find some US kia forum stating tat the wind noise can be a bit high when travelling 60+mph( i.e. 100+km/h)… Apart from that, may be one or two having transmission problem, I dont know how reliable tat is, could be isolated, no idea… but even for those 2 cases, Kia had changed their transmission for free…

Overall, after 2-3weeks of googling, most of the people are still loving this car, and honestly, me too… I love this car :)

I’m a little surprised they’re not throwing the Rio into that mix. There have been indications that it might be coming soon, and its price point is well into the appeal of the mass market. Plus, it’s still got pretty good hype. If they offered the Rio as a test drive as well I think they would significantly increase the turnout for this event.
