Hiroshi Masuoka is no stranger to Mitsubishi and its motorsports program. A driver for the works team, Masuoka started his Dakar Rally campaign in 1987. His most notable wins were the 2002 and 2003 Dakar Rally that cemented his position as the first Japanese driver and the fourth driver to win in consecutive years.
