Comments on the blog post primarily express skepticism about the 20-sen toll reduction on Kesas, questioning if it’s merely a political gesture ahead of the upcoming election. Many see it as a small, ineffective increase that won't significantly ease financial burdens, with some suggesting the government might compensate concessionaires through taxpayer money or extend toll contracts. Several comments accuse the ruling party of using the reduction as a political stunt to buy votes and highlight historical toll increases or extensions that keep costs high. Others compare Malaysia’s toll system unfavorably to countries like the UK, and some predict further toll hikes after the elections. Overall, there’s a tone of distrust, viewing the measure as a temporary and superficial tactic rather than genuine relief for commuters.
