Here are full pix and details of the Honda Urban SUV Concept, which previews a future global B-segment SUV based on the centre tank layout next generation Honda Jazz platform. It makes its global debut at Detroit 2013. It’s production competitors are cars like the Juke and EcoSport.
Honda also announced that the production car will go on sale in Japan by the end of this year, while other countries will receive it in sequential introductions.
Considering that Detroit is the location of its debut, Honda has announced North American availability. For North America, it will be built at Honda’s new plant in Mexico in Spring 2014, with sales to begin by the end of 2014.
Honda makes no specific mentions on powertrain except that it will be powered by Earth Dreams Technology, and that it will be available with three types of power – petrol, diesel as well as hybrid. You can read our write-up on Earth Dreams Technology to learn about Honda’s next gen powertrains.

There is a video of the Honda Urban Concept, showing a Civic like layout dashboard but with a more expensive look and feel to it…like the A/C control. Hope PaulTan can post it later.
Anyways this car looks very production ready. Slap in 17″ and a more common headlights and it could make it to the showroom un-change which is not a bad thing since this car looks really stylish and chic.
Ohh ….The videos is up, Thanks
Can’t help to feel that this baby CRV will look good as a 2-doors SUV.Kinda like a cheaper and smaller version of the RR Evoque.
i think this mini crv looks better than full-grown crv
possible platform for future Proton SUV?
ANTI T&H Name approves of this design. Don’t go changing anything later on (like Tuah to Preve :S)
looks a bit Kia/hyundai (korean styling).
Looks production ready no?
HYUNDAI TUSCON…PART 2
Wow. Better if come with hybrid version here
Finally H beginning to feel d pressure from the koreans. their styling is dramatic & will give d kimchis a run for their money.
This will be another runaway success like the CRZ
Hopefully this will have Honda’s dual-clutch auto and a direct-injected engine.
Kimchis are shitting bricks now
After browsing through the photos..changed my mine about tis car..it is actually quite nice..hope that it will be priced under 100k in Malaysia..hope~
Looks big, in pics.
I quite like it. Depending on the space I can see it being popular with families with young children, particularly for the school run.
It could be a Honda HRV replacement. it’s been awhile anyway.
Bravo!!! Honda
I love the stylish headlamps! It’s so awesome!
