Something different as the week winds to a close, and this one involves a changing a complete set of wheels on a car and a new world record (yes, there’s one, apparently).
Four mechanics from German automotive parts and repairs company kfzteile24 have set a new Guinness World Record for changing all four wheels on a road car without the aid of powered tools – their time of 59.62 seconds obliterated the previous record – set by another German team – of one minute 23.85 seconds.
The team – made up of Marco Herzlieb, Denis Werner, Gordon Neumann and Florian Walkenhors – set the new record during a special side event at the German Touring Car Masters (DTM) race at Lausitzring in Klettwitz, Germany.
With tools ready and the start signal given by a Guinness World Records adjudicator, the quartet set to work. In less than a minute, they dismounted all four steel wheels on a Ford Focus and mounted new ones, besting the previous record by an impressive 24.23 seconds.

How many Germans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
One. They’re efficient and don’t have humour.
we also got a fastest songlap time achieved by a penang guy ma
SkullJuJu – Have u lived in Germany before? If you have, you will know that the stereotype about Germans portrayed by the English (WW2 based) is utter rubbish.
I lived in Kaiserslautern for 12 years. Trust me they can be really funny if they know you well. It’s just that the only show their humor to people they know well. If you are a stranger, of course they won’t show you their true side. But they are quite trustworthy and honest people.
In the UK, everyone seems friendly (I stayed in Reading for 2 years), but mostly because they have some agenda. Either they are going to mug or steal from you or they want something from you.
Hi Globe Traveler, SkullJuJu is just joking with us all. don’t take his word so seriously okay?
Sorry to say, you lived in Kaiserslautern for 12 years only and you already lost your sense of humor.
If they change our tyres, they would’ve lose the record because our malaysian mechanics always overtighten the nuts.
I think we Malaysian can assemble a team to break this record, by using our very own Proton Tiara with 3 wheel nut.
