Perodua contributes four units of Axia to police force

Perodua has contributed four Axia hatchbacks to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for use as community patrol vehicles. The cars were delivered at Bukit Aman yesterday, with the automaker represented by Perodua Sales MD Dr Zahari Husin and PDRM by the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

The police will utilise two of Axias as community patrol cars, with one assigned to the Brickfields police station and the other at TTDI police station. The other two cars will be utilised by Amanita, a special task-force created by the police to fight crime by engaging the community in general, and housewives in particular. The cars will be assigned to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor HQs.

“The four units are the first under the Perodua Axia model to be used by the police force in their efforts to keep communities safe,” Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.

He hoped that the automaker’s contribution in providing these community patrol cars will assist the police force in carrying out its duties. The company added that over 670 Perodua vehicles have been in use with PDRM in various capacities since 1995.

I think this car are the best candidate for pdrm to replace all Proton preve that doesn’t have resale value. This car resale value are much higher than Proton preve.

Police will intentionally damage the car is it helps to catch criminals… you think they even think about resale value of the cars?? What matters to them is the car capability to chase criminals…

The cars are for buying lunch. Lunch time send a coolie out to get lunch for the whole office. Other than that this car serves no purpose.

These cars are ideal for patrolling housing or business areas which is usually congested. There are muscle police cars backing up when they are needed. Using the right resources for the right task will give you efficiency. Communication and teamwork will meet the objective effectively.
