Mercedes-Benz has revealed yet another teaser of its GLC Coupe in the lead up to the model’s debut at the 2016 New York Auto Show. We’ve already shown you a clip of the model being tested vigorously while wrapped up in camouflage, but here’s a look at a completely naked sketch instead.
Apart from the obvious AMG Line exterior kit, we can’t quite put a finger on which GLC Coupe variant this is. More than anything, the single-lourve diamond radiator grille, front bumper and obvious lettering on the number plate suggest that this is an AMG GLC 43 Coupe – the sportiest version of the GLC positioned just beneath the top-range AMG model.
The only odd item here is the AMG badge on the front grille – something we’ve never seen on an “AMG 43” model yet, typically reserved for the full-blown AMG 63s. That said, 63 models also get a more aggressive front bumper, which isn’t present here. If a GLC 63 Coupe was in the works, we would expected it to look like a mini version of the GLE 63 Coupe. This sketch shows a basic AMG Line bumper, seen also on the regular GLC SUV.
In any case, more details will be revealed on March 23, when the GLC Coupe breaks cover at the New York Auto Show. In the meantime, you can check out the other variants of the new GLC Coupe we’ve spied before, particularly in its AMG Line and standard exterior trim. Stay tuned for more details.
