Now that you’ve seen the Mazda CX-4 in all its glory, master renderer Theophilus Chin believes he can further the appeal of the crossover by eliminating two doors to create a two-door coupe crossover. Has he managed to do so?
The standard four-door CX-4 already has coupe-like lines and stands at up to 135 mm shorter compared to the CX-5 (1,535 mm), but retains its width (1,840 mm) and wheelbase (2,700 mm). We reckon the renders seen here won’t deviate from those numbers by a lot, and they look very convincing as a production version.
Available exclusively in China for now, the standard CX-4 comes in two four-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine variants – 2.0 litre (158 hp and 202 Nm) and 2.5 litre (192 hp and 252 Nm). The engines are mated to either a SkyActiv-MT six-speed manual or SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic. Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system is an option here (two-wheel drive is standard).
Features on the crossover include LED headlamps, MZD Connect touchscreen infotainment system, electronic parking brake (with auto hold), leather upholstery and Mazda’s i-Activsense safety suite. The safety package includes Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring (ABSM) system with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), as well as Smart City Brake Support (SCBS).

CX-4 is 4 doors cross over SUV. It looks like Infinity QX40. If this come to Malaysia, it will be big hit to Honda HRV and the new Totoya CH-R.
