Ferrari 458 MM Speciale revealed – one of a kind

Ferrari 458 MM Speciale 2

If money is no object, extreme levels exclusivity is something that is well within reach. One such Ferrari customer has illustrated this perfectly by asking the Italian marque to come up with this creation, the Ferrari 458 MM Speciale.

This is the latest in many of Ferrari’s ‘One-Off’ creations, and was designed in-house by the Ferrari Styling Centre. Based on the already “special” Ferrari 458 Speciale, the 458 MM Speciale uses the hardcore 458’s chassis and running gear, but everything else you see here is entirely bespoke in aluminium and composite carbon-fibre.

According to Ferrari, the client (claimed to be British) was looking for “extremely sporty lines and specified a ‘visor’ effect for the glasshouse.” To meet those needs, the car’s A-pillars have been painted black to provide the “wraparound” look.

The 458 MM Speciale also gets a whole new front and rear that is radically different from the car it is based on. For the latter, the tail lamps look like they’re straight off the 488 GTB. Other modifications here include a new side air scoop and rear spoiler as part of an extensive aerodynamic package.

The new bodywork also sees the coolant radiators being adjusted to be more steeply inclined and mounted closer together than on the 458 Speciale. Finishing touches include unique wheels, a Bianco Italia paint finish with the Italian flag’s colours running across the entire length of the car.

Moving inside, upgrades include Cioccolato leather upholstery with white stitching, satin white rings around the tunnel controls and an enhanced audio system, all of which were done to the owner’s specific wishes.

Ferrari did not reveal any performance details, but since the 458 MM Speciale is based on the 458 Speciale, we can assume that the mid-mounted 4.5 litre naturally-aspirated V8 has remain untouched. In its default setup, the mill churns out 605 PS and 540 Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will do 0-100 km/h in just three seconds, and on to a top speed of 325 km/h.

So, if money is no object, Ferrari will built whatever it is your heart desires. What do you think of the Ferrari 458 MM Speciale? A standout exotic or something else entirely? Discuss below.

    • Evora big brother. Maybe the Brit really wanted an evora with bigger engine, but Lotus cannot fit in anything larger than V6, so he turned to Ferrari.

This car sure sell in Malaysia well. Infact, for Lamborghini and Ferrari, Malaysia is one of its most lucrative markets.

Ironically, the buyers of Ferrari and Lamborghini in Malaysia all have no jobs. Neither do they have inherited wealth. They go about, casually dressed in jeans, doing deals in Starbucks and Coffee Bean as middle man and somehow, they make millions.

    Cukur lah
