The Honda Civic Type R is not a slow car by any means. With a 2.0 litre turbocharged VTEC engine that develops 310 PS and 400 Nm, the hot hatch is currently the fastest front-wheel drive production car at five circuits in Europe (except the Nurburgring).
Off the track however, the Civic Type R’s capabilities are somewhat limited thanks to the presence of the police. Therefore, if you chance upon a lovely bit of road (devoid of traffic) where you can stretch the CTR’s legs a little, how do you deal with the inevitable police pullover?
Well, Honda’s answer is a little unorthodox as it doesn’t involve pleading, begging or puppy dog eyes. Instead, the solution involves bringing along a female passenger wearing a fake pregnancy bump, who can scream about being in labour.
In this sub two-minute spot, Honda explains that “even the toughest officer in the world won’t mess with a woman who is in labour.” So, to assist Civic Type R owners, Honda put together a group of actresses to learn the ways of simulating being in labour before they ride shotgun.

Given how hard these Type Rs have been known to ride, the pregnant woman would have its baby bounced out before they could reach the hospital. :p
