Grab to have a kiosk in Subang SkyPark airport, introduces six-seater GrabCar option for big parties

In the fierce battle between Uber and Grab, the latter has gained two extra bullets with today’s announcement. First, South East Asia’s leading ride hailing service has tied up with SkyPark Terminal a.k.a. Subang Airport to make Grab rides from the airport more convenient.

The four-year agreement will allow travellers to book their Grab ride even before they leave the arrivals hall, which hopefully can translate to shorter waits. This can be done through a Grab kiosk located in the airport. With this partnership, SkyPark Terminal will be the cheaper and more convenient option to fly to popular destinations in Malaysia and Singapore, the companies say.

“As a local homegrown company, we are always on the lookout for creative and localised partnerships that will help add value to our customers and partners. We hope to play an active role and support the growing demands of Malaysia tourism industry and provide social and business travellers with safe, convenient, reliable and cost effective rides,” said Jaygan Fu, country head at Grab Malaysia.

Grab is also launching its latest service, the six-seater GrabCar. “We have had several enquiries especially from travellers for a larger car, therefore, in response and to cater to their convenience, we are excited to launch our GrabCar 6-seater to address their travelling needs,” added Fu.

To mark the partnership with Subang SkyPark Terminal, Grab is offering a special promo of RM10 off two GrabCar six-seater rides to/from the airport. This offer is from today (Dec 21) till January 31, 2017, valid for both cash and card payment. The promo code needed is SKYPARK.

The six-seater GrabCar service can be booked on demand or in advance (minimum one hour prior to pick-up time), with a base fair of RM2 and minimum rate of RM8 (on-demand) or RM15 (advance booking).
