From May to December last year, the Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) has issued 367,000 parking summonses worth RM11.3 million, according to The Sun.
Mayor A. Rahim Nin said that 6,440 reminders were also issued to those who have yet to settle their compounds, which carry a maximum fine of RM300. “Offenders can be charged in court,” he said.
The report stated that illegal parking is rampant in the city, as people park their cars near the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar before taking a bus or train to work in Singapore.

Majority dari mana?
Majority from Singapore. But our Malaysian gomen very bodoh. Singapore implemented a system 20 years ago where if Malaysian car got saman in Singapore, it cannot leave the country until he pays the saman. Get caught at immigration itself
Malaysia still got no brain to implement such a simple system. They have to have hundreds of meetings, minum teh, deliberate, brainstorm how to get Singapore cars to pay up.
Hello bangaus, just prevent any Singapore car from leaving at the borders until they pay up on the spot.
See, Singaporeans thought about this 20 years ago. We all still cracking our heads how to pungut saman.
Why I hear rattling tin? Ohhh….
No point if only issued millions of summons but collect none.
