Travelling during the Merdeka or Hard Raya Aidiladha holidays? You’d better check the balance of your Touch ‘n Go or PLUSMiles cards, because PLUS is temporarily shutting down the reload lanes at its toll plazas during the festive season, as it braces for congestion during the expected exodus. All 134 reload lanes will be closed to the public from August 29 to September 4 to facilitate smoother traffic flow.
“On average, a top-up process can take up to three minutes per vehicle. As such, the temporary closure is crucial to prevent long queues at toll plazas during the festive season,” said PLUS managing director Datuk Azman Ismail. The highway concessionaire advised road users to top up their cards at 9,200 other reload locations nationwide, such as ATMs, 24-hour convenience stores and petrol stations.
The company previously shut down its reload lanes during the Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays, and said that the move has been well-received by motorists. “Based on our observation and study, the move was able to reduce traffic congestion at the toll plazas. That prompted us to continue the same approach this festive season and the upcoming festive season,” Azman said.

the problem is not reload time. Problem is PLUS just employs people who celebrate Hari Raya. So, no other people can ganti their jobs.
