This is the new Traum Meet 3, another SUV that will be sold in China real soon. If you haven’t heard of Traum before, the carmaker is actually part of Zotye Auto, and its products are aimed at younger car buyers.
We’ll get the standard bits of info out of the way first: the Meet 3 is based on the Zotye SR7, and is powered by a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine. The mill makes 147 hp and 207 Nm of torque, paired with either a five-speed manual or CVT. Dimension-wise, the Meet 3 measures 4,530 mm long, 1,838 mm wide and 1,610 mm tall, with a wheelbase spanning 2,685 mm.
That’s all pretty rudimentary by today’s standards, and might not be appealing to the youthful crowd that Traum is targeting. Thankfully, the equipment list comes with something that the Chinese carmaker believes young people love doing; and that something is singing.
Yes, the Meet 3 comes with a built-in karaoke system that is fitted as standard from the factory. The system is part of the car’s OnlyMic infotainment system, which is also connected to an eight-inch touchscreen and a 12-speaker Pioneer sound system. There’s even a Traum-branded wireless microphone and you can add songs via USB or Bluetooth, as CarNewsChina reports.
Aside from the mobile KTV system, the kit list also includes a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, ambient lighting, a seven-inch display for the instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning and keyless operation.
There’s a strong hint of Mercedes-Benz GLA in the Meet 3’s styling, seen in both the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Of course, the GLA doesn’t have a mobile KTV system, so the Meet 3 has the advantage in that very specific aspect.
When it goes on sale, the Meet 3 will reportedly be priced between 80,000 (RM49,516) and 120,000 yuan (RM74,274). A karaoke system should be useful during gridlock traffic, right? At least for your occupants.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Maybe Proton shud rebadge this Zotye instead.

Chinese are master in counterfeit…go and go
I wonder what type of people would give a dislike to the truth
P.s – the Chinese in this comment is referring to the ones in China
China is only creative in finding ways to eat exotic animals…not designing cars…
Proton = exotic animal ?
Yes, a tiger
tiger pen is exotic. Lol
At least they re still eating meat, there is this one and only race of people on earth this exotic food called “spicy cow poop”….. I think its the only type of poop food in this world
Not bad looking for a car from China that looks like a GLA but price like a P1/P2 & double up as a Karaoke Mobile. I’ll order one simply for its novelty & I’m not going to pay for that damn tax too ya.
seriously… if online music streaming is killing fm radio, then this should kill the former. at least for car passengers. amazing how quickly consumers change nowadays.
A GLA with Karaoke system! Who came out with this idea? It’s stupid and it’s rock n roll!
Don’t be surprised if later its options list include a platform aka stage on the roof. Now, stuck half an hour in traffic jams would no longer be boring
Rebadged of Mercedes-Benz GLC.
The Proton PX7 (or whatever the final name is) will have serious competition.
Chinese competitors will arrive in numbers soon. We signed a Free Trade Agreement with China, no?
Well, this is Traum-atising
I’ve driven the GLA twice and not once when I was driving it did I think, “Hmm, I wish I was at Neway singing Backstreet Boys.”
Too bad, Mercedes is owned by China, they can do whatever they like.
Dude, only 11.8% of Daimler is owned by Asia.I say Asia which means the entire Asia and not only China.
the new super power.
Of all the stupid idea to put in a car…..this has to be it, karaoke while speeding down the highway.
