RX number plate series open for tender until May 15

The announcement of number plate tenders are usually associated for special series plates, the latest of which is the G1G series, but normal plates sometimes get a shout if they happen to be hot ticket items. Apparently, the Perlis RX plate series seems to be one of these getting the special treatment, with an announcement that tenders are set to start soon currently circulating on social media.

Tendering for the series, which runs from RX 1 to RX 9999 begins on May 2 and ends on May 15, and because the RX series follows the standard state-derived number plate protocol, all bids will go through the usual JPJ tendering process. Presumably, in demand numbers should include RX 7 and 8 as well as RX 200 and 350.

While there’s no denying that a lot of big bucks are spent on glam series number plates, standard series issues do pretty well in terms of raking in money – last year, it was reported that the Kedah JPJ was expecting the KEL series plate to rake in a strong collection, as was the case for the KEE and KEK series, and Perlis JPJ will undoubtedly be looking at RX doing the same for it.
