Perodua Myvi – 70,000 bookings, 38,000 cars delivered

Perodua Myvi – 70,000 bookings, 38,000 cars delivered

Perodua has announced that bookings for the new Myvi, which was launched last November, has reached the 70,000 unit mark. The automaker also said 38,000 units of the third-gen hatchback have been delivered as of the third week of April.

“We thank our valued customers and all Malaysians for their strong support. We look forward to serving you better and we are continuing to improve ourselves for your satisfaction,” said Perodua Sales MD Datuk Dr Zahari Husin.

Unsurprisingly, the model accounted for the lion’s share of the company’s sales in the first quarter, in which it’s 41.1% total market share is its highest ever slice of the overall pie. Of the 55,568 vehicles it shifted from January to March this year, 24,473 were Myvis. The next best-selling Perodua model was the Axia, which shifted 14,962 units in the period. This was followed by the Bezza (10,101 units) and Alza (6,032 units) Alzas.

In terms of delivery times for the Myvi, Zahari said that the company is working on further improving its efficiency to ensure that deliveries would be within an acceptable time frame. He said the current waiting period for the 1.5 litre Myvi variants is a shade under three months, but 1.3 litre variants can be delivered almost immediately at the moment.

The automaker also announced its Perodua Pilihanku sales campaign, which runs this May 5-6 weekend at all Perodua showrooms and service centres nationwide – free vehicle inspections and cash redemptions of up to RM1,800 for selected models and variants await visitors.

Perodua sales for just Myvi alone in 3 months is the SAME as Proton sales for its entire range of cars for 1 whole year.

In addition to this, Perodua has half the workforce compared to Proton.

Plus another added bonus point, Perodua has never asked a single sen of bailout money.

You can rest assured, when Perodua launches their SUV, sales of its SUV will be the same like the Myvi

Perodua SUV will wipe out all the bogus China brand SUV in Malaysia.

Perodua is the choice of Malaysians. Malaysians trust Perodua. There are over 1.1 million Myvis on our roads and every of those 1.1 million people are very happy with their cars.

    Belum kira, Axia, Bezza lagi

See in every forum, Perodua owners are so happy.

Furthermore, they are so happy that the SC never tell them, “Biasalah Encik, in Proton…what do you expect”

Perodua SC always care for its owners and always try their level best to solve owners issues

  • While the ailing company is trying hard to create excitement with their china dashboard display, Perodua have to resort to promote their 1.3 Myvi because their 1.5 line has been running at full capacity for months now.

This is why UMW is finding all way to control Perodua.

Will it become another Toyota marketing strategy or

    another Proton

    • In Japan the Nissan Note is the top selling car in Japan.
Less Daihatsu Boons aka Daihatsu Myvis sold there compared to Malaysia. (https://newsroom.nissan-europe.com/eu/en-gb/media/pressreleases/426219147/nissan-note-tops-japans-january-sales-rankings)
Perodua is forever a Condemned brand with junk cars also Malaysians buy. Very Sad case:(
Hate the Myvi? there are always better cars like the Picanto and Iriz. Even the old 2nd hand Jazz is another batter choice than the dreadful Myvi for those who want a high status car from H.

Wow… beribu-ribu tahniah dan jutaan terima kasih of your effort to achieve unimaginable good car sales. But, one simple question to Poodua is, why they can’t put a simple yet BLOODY IMPORTANT TEMPERATURE METER????? (previous Myvis got it, new one they cut corner and throw it away).

if overheat, can say bye-bye loh to your car engine or even whole car (that so called blue/red icon are too cheap and too crappy – don’t assume the red icon will come out as most of time, it doesn’t come out and even if did, it’s already too late)
