The focus may be on the upcoming results of the 14th general election, but here’s some quick news about fuel prices, and there’s no change in current pricing from last week, the seventh straight week it has been maintained.

As such, RON 95 petrol remains priced at RM2.20 per litre and RON 97 at RM2.47, while Euro 2M diesel continues at RM2.18 per litre and Euro 5 diesel, which is 10 sen more than its Euro 2M equivalent, goes for RM2.28. The prices are effective from tomorrow until May 16.

The last time there was a change in fuel prices was during the fourth week of March, which saw a 10 sen increase across all fuel types and grades.

This week’s announcement is the 59th since the weekly adjustment system took effect at the end of March 2017. The price of RON 95 petrol is 10 sen cheaper than that at the start of the weekly fuel price float (RM2.30 per litre), while RON 97 is now 13 sen less (from RM2.60 per litre). Euro 2M diesel is also now two sen cheaper than at the programme’s start (from RM2.20 per litre).
