May 2018 week one fuel prices – and still no change

Fuel prices have stayed still since the fourth week of March – a far cry from the fluctuating prices that defined the weeks prior. Lest you worry about a sudden upswing in price this week, fret not, as the current prices will be rolled forward for the sixth straight week.

This means that RON 95 petrol will remain at RM2.20 per litre, RON 97 at RM2.47 and RM2.18 per litre for Euro 2M diesel for the first week of May, which comes into effect tomorrow, May 3. Meanwhile, Euro 5 diesel stays 10 sen pricier than its Euro 2M equivalent and therefore will be pegged at RM2.28 per litre, also unchanged from the week prior.

As we’ve mentioned, the last time we saw a change in fuel prices was during the fourth week of March, which brought along a 10 sen increase across all fuel types and grades. Today’s fuel price announcement is the 58th since the weekly adjustment system took effect at the end of March 2017.

Overall, the price of RON 95 petrol has dropped 10 sen cheaper since the start of the weekly fuel price float, while RON 97 is now 13 sen per litre cheaper. Euro 2M diesel is also now two sen cheaper than at the programme’s start, from RM2.20 per litre.

If GE is done every week, we will be BROKE. Why ?? An Election cost hundreds of million if not billion. The $$$ is better used to build hospitals & schools or subsidize essential goods for the poor.

      • They are criticising the Gov for delaying increasing fuel prices, yet they yearn for cheap petrol.

They are criticising YOU and the government for lying to them about the fuel pricing mechanism. There are only two words to describe you – BN troll.

To villain, he is the restorer. But in truth he took away people’s right. The earth is not belong to him. He can’t simply take all the gems and act like he’s helping. Always see the post credit scene. It’s not the end, there are still hope. And that’s why the avengers come together to form the Alliance of Hope. Those smallest say who work tirelessly like an ant will eventually have the loudest say when come in full force no matter the shell colour in ant or wasp. Tun Dr. Strange fought so many battle and he knew it.

You quote the Borg from Star Trek, yet if you actually watch the show, you’ll know that resistance, in the end, is not futile.
