Maserati has unveiled the new Ghibli Ribelle, a special edition model bound for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, with production limited to 200 units. Customers have three variants – Ghibli diesel, Ghibli and Ghibli S – to choose from, and they come finished in an unique Nero Ribelle mica colour.
All variants get an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard, with the oil burner being a 3.0 litre turbodiesel with 275 PS and 600 Nm, while the petrol powerplant is a 3.0 litre twin-turbo V6 that makes 350 PS/500 Nm in the Ghibli and 430 PS/580 Nm in the Ghibli S.
Aesthetically, the exterior look is based largely on the facelifted Ghibli GranLusso, with an aggressive front apron and gaping radiator grille. The blacked-out Ghibli sits on gloss-black 19-inch Proteo alloys with contrasting red accents, behind which rest the red-painted brake calipers.
Inside, the two-tone black and red theme continues on the dashboard, door panels, steering wheel, paddle shifters and of course, the seat upholstery. Along the centre console just aft of the gearstick is a Ribelle logo with the requisite serial number, done up in Black Piano finish wood.
If that’s not enough, the Trident marque is offering the optional Ribelle Plus package, which includes laminated privacy windows for improved thermal and sound insulation, full-LED Matrix adaptive headlights, Harman Kardon premium sound system and powered sunroof.
