Walmart ad plugs 12 iconic cars of the silver screen

American retail chain Walmart has introduced a grocery pickup service, and has chosen to highlight it with the help of a number of iconic vehicles from the movies.

The one and a half minute commercial crams no less than a dozen cars into the slot, and the line-up of visual treats includes the Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters, Lightning McQueen from Cars and the DeLorean DMC-12 time machine from Back To The Future (1.21 gigawatts, anyone?).

Also making an appearance are the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), the talking third-gen Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am from Knight Rider and the Batmobile variant from Suicide Squad.

Canine capers are provided by the Dumb and Dumber Mutt Cutts van (based on a Ford Econoline), while the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo offers a less furry, but no less noticeable, take on things.

Other spots are filled by vehicles such as the Ford-based Wagon Queen Family Truckster from National Lampoon Vacation and Fred Flintstone’s footmobile, and even Bumblebee makes a cameo. No shortage of nostalgia indeed.
