During the launch of the 2019 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP, CB1100RS and Super Cub 125, Boon Siew Honda (BSH) also revealed its sales figures for 2018. For the previous year, the Honda distributor for Malaysia sold 156,000 motorcycles and scooters, an increase of 28.7% over the same period for 2017, when it sold 121,000 units.
Of this total, BSH’s best seller was the Honda RS150R, with 43,498 units sold, followed by the Wave Alpha with 36,895 handed over to customers. This enabled BSH to raise their market share in Malaysia to 30%, compared to 27% in 2017.
Entering 2019, BSH will be using this momentum to increase sales volume and some campaigns will be carried out to achieve this target, said Keiichi Yasuda, managing director and chief executive officer. This will include the launch of several new models as well as increasing the number of Impian X stores, after sales service centres, safe riding programmes and identifying and developing local racing talent.
In 2018, BSH launched 12 new motorcycle and scooter models, as well as introducing three upgraded bikes. These include the PCX and PCX Hybrid scooters, the CBR1000RR superbike, the CRF1000L Africa Twin, the Moneky, Vario, Dash 125, CB1000R Neo Sports Cafe, CBR250R and X-ADV.

If Honda’s market share is 30%, I wonder what is Yamaha’s market share. 50%?
still no cbr250rr… sedih x2…(1st is Nissan news)
Give me 250rr
Honda seriously needs to provide more service centres and SIGNIFICANTLY improve their after sales service. If they still take it for granted, then their sale will not be as impressive in the coming years.
