With the return of the illustrious Speed Twin name to Triumph Motorcycles’ Modern Classics range, the 2019 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 is now available for order at RM73,900 in Jet Black and RM75,900 for the bi-colour Korosi Red/Storm Grey or Silver Ice/Storm Grey. Released last year, the Speed Twin is a rather sportier version of the Bonneville T120 and carries the 1,200 cc parallel-twin, producing 95 hp and 112 Nm of torque.
Other models in the Modern Classics catalogue with the 1200 HT mill include the Bonneville T120 priced between RM69,900 and RM71,900, depending on colour scheme and the Triumph Bonneville Bobber at RM71,900. Both Bonnevilles come with a free Vance & Hines performance slip-on exhaust which normally retails at RM6,500.
Triumph’s Street Scrambler comes in three colour options and is priced at RM64,900 for the base model, RM65,900 for metallic paint and RM66,200 for the two-tone paint option. Companion to the Street Scrambler, the Street Twin with its 900 cc parallel-twin, retails at RM55,900 and RM56,900 for metallic and matte paint options, respectively.
New additions to the Triumph line-up, the Scrambler 1200 XC and Scrambler 1200 XE, are priced at RM80,900 and RM86,900, respectively, and the order book is open. With 89 hp at 7,400 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 3,950, Triumph says the Scrambler is optimised for proper on- and off-road use, with 250 mm of suspension travel from the Showa forks and Ohlins rear monoshock.
Rounding out the Triumph Malaysia range are the adventure-touring Tigers, in this case the Tiger 800 XCX, Tiger 800 XR and Tiger 800 XRX. Pricing the 800 XCX is RM73,900, while the base model XR is priced at RM59,900 and the 800 XRX goes for RM69,900.
