Recently, BMW Group Malaysia introduced a range of new models in its X family of SUVs – the G02 X4, F39 X2 M35i and G05 X5 – and now the company is inviting members of the public to check these cars out for themselves, in the Choose Your World roadshow happening at Plaza Arkadia this weekend.
The new cars will be on display at the event at the event alongside the X1 and X3; the last two cars will be offered for test drives together with the new X4. Strength and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) games will also be available to test your fitness, with participants receiving a gift upon completion. There will be stunt performances and a merchandise pop-up store, too.
To recap, the new X4 is offered in a single xDrive30i M Sport trim, powered by a 252 hp/350 Nm 2.0 litre B48 turbo four-cylinder engine. Locally assembled to take on the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Coupé, it is priced at an estimated RM380,000 without insurance.
July will see the introduction of the X2 M35i, the first M Performance model to be officially sold in Malaysia. It gets a 306 hp/450 Nm version of the aforementioned engine and will retail at an estimated RM400,000 for this fully-imported model.
Also fully imported is the new X5, which will arrive in August in xDrive40i M Sport form. That one gets a 3.0 litre straight-six producing 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque, and it will be priced at an estimated RM640,000. I am very sure that BMW Malaysia will going to launch new locally-assembled Hybrid G05 BMW X5 but don’t know when to launch since they just launch BMW G05 X5 xDrive40i in Malaysia just recently that costs RM640K. BMW X5 G05 Hybrid CKD will be exactly cheaper as usual by giving Hybrid incentives.
Furthermore, there is another CBU X model as well which is X2 that costs RM330K for sDrive 20i and nearly RM400K for M35i X2. However, We couldn’t know when BMW Malaysia will going to launch CKD BMW X2 in Malaysia.
Except for BMW X4 G02 that is locally assembled model which gives cheaper price that costs RM380K for xDrive 30i for only one variant. Same goes to other locally assembled X models which is X1 and X3 that gives cheaper price. This is because it gives EEV incentives for these three locally assembled X models.
I choose a world where BMWs doesn’t come with big nostrils.
The official price for the X4 has been released on BMW malaysia’s official website under the price list section at RM364,800
imho, the m sport kits make those SUV looked less rugged. I prefer SUV with rugged looks, it looks tougher.
