Honda Malaysia recently launched the CR-V Mugen Limited Edition, where only 300 units will be offered to customers, priced from RM152,900 on-the-road without insurance. This price applies to cars finished in Passion Red Pearl as seen here, with the other colour option – White Orchid Pearl – costing an additional RM400.
Based on the 1.5L Turbo 2WD variant, the limited edition model was first previewed by the CR-V Mugen Concept that first appeared at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show, and later at this year’s Malaysia Autoshow.
The exterior of the CR-V Mugen features body-coloured extensions below the front bumper, along the sides and beneath the rear bumper. It also comes with a dedicated front grille garnish, roof-mounted spoiler and Mugen badging. The 19-inch MDR aluminium wheels seen on the concept isn’t present here, with the car riding on 18-inch alloys.
There are no changes to the cabin, as you still get black leather upholstery, wood interior trim, electric powered front seats, a dual-zone climate control system with rear vents, and a seven-inch touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Similarly, the engine is a L15B7 1.5 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 193 PS at 5,600 rpm and 243 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 5,000 rpm. Drive goes to the front wheels through an Earth Dreams continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Better top up RM30,000 and buy this limited game changer rather than a China SUV X70. You’ll feel more confident driving this game changing 5th gen Japanese SUV.
Or wait Proton X70 PRO ckd 100K.
So, buy then…
Honda CRV sell in Bahrain and East Europe:
Cannot stand the ugly taillighrs…same with innova…why cant they change immediately…
(Like) Proton X70
(Dislike) Honda CRV, Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Tucson and Toyota CH-R
What about upgraded Mazda CX-5 coming soon?
Jepunis efficiency, Itali design flair + Jerman engineering.
Oh yeah even Mazda CX-5 is better than CRV, Santa Fe, Tucson and CHR
Correct. Hyundai Service is such very disgraceful
Well I suppose one has to try to sell cars.
Against the onslaught of Proton X70, they have no choice. But to make it even uglier really facepalm.
This kit makes it look like a BRV
I thought a bodykit was supposed to make a car looks better?
it does look good with the Mugen badge on it.. all it needs is a larger 19 inch bad ass rims to complete that awesome look..
Still hate the ugly rim !!
