Lexus will unveil its first electric vehicle in November this year – electrified versions of all models by 2025

Lexus has announced that it plans to unveil its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) in November 2019, as part of the company’s “Lexus Electrified” vision, which also saw the debut of the LF-30 Electrified Concept at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.

The Japanese carmaker will also expand its electrified vehicle line-up further by introducing its first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) as well as a new dedicated platform for fully-electric vehicles early in the coming decade.

To add to this, Lexus will offer electrified versions of all Lexus vehicle models by 2025, and is aiming for the sales of electrified vehicles to outpace those powered by conventional internal combustion engines.

For now, the company has not disclosed any details about the upcoming EV model, so we’ll have to wait until November to see what they come up with. While Lexus may have been a little slow with EVs, the premium arm of Toyota is no stranger to revolutionary powertrains, as exemplified by its range of hybrid models.
