BYD has revealed the interior of the top variant of the upcoming Song L, which is the Chinese brand’s new all-electric fastback SUV built on the e-Platform 3.0. According to CarNewsChina, the Song L will compete against Geely’s Zeekr 001 and will reportedly go on sale in China this year with a starting price of 250,000 yuan (RM163,643).
The Song L will be offered with two Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries of 71 and 87 kWh capacities and there are two motor configurations. The first sees a rear electric motor rated at 204 PS (201 hp or 150 kW), while the other is a dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup with 517 PS (510 hp or 380 kW). Depending on the powertrain, the SUV has a range of between 550 and 662 km.
Another feature of the Song L is BYD’s DiSus suspension system, which was announced earlier in April this year. Described as an intelligent body control system, the DiSus system comes in three variants, starting with DiSus-A that is somewhat similar to air suspension. There’s also DiSus-C that controls the damper solenoid valve, similar to adaptive damping, while DiSus-P is the most advanced version as it is a hydraulic body control system.
Moving inside, there’s a large panoramic roof above the heads of passengers in the range-topping trim level of the Song L. Perforated Alcantara and leather upholstery, a crystal gear selector, a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Dynaudio speakers, dual wireless charging pads and a dedicated touchscreen for the rear climate zone are touted features.
In terms of dimensions, the Song L measures 4,840 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, 1,560 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. That makes it larger than the Seal, which is slated to be launched in Malaysia soon. Would you welcome the Song L to join it?

This is nice. Really nice. Compared to the current interior design of BYD car. Hope to see this new design replacing the current odd looking design especially the steering wheel, the ac vent and actually the rest of the interior.
