It’s been stormy in Penang, where heavy rain has combined with strong winds and big waves. The latter has swamped the seafront area of the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR), specifically the rear of the Bagan Ajam R&R.
Yesterday, the highway operator warned users to avoid the area as it is unsafe. “Reminder. To users of R&R Bagan Ajam, you are asked to not go near the beach as the weather is very bad and the waves are high, with water in the back of the R&R. It is not safe for visitors. Please follow this reminder,” it said on social media along with three images of the soaked facility.
R&R Bagan Ajam is not closed, so you can still use the toilets and surau, but avoid the rear of the rest stop, as the waves are strong and dangerous. Drive safe.

Really? Then why build an R&R that is easily environmentally compromised? Makan duit? Siapa CM yang approve ni projek?
