A special brand under China motorcycle maker CFMoto, the 2024 Zeeho AE4 electric scooter is now in Malaysia, priced at RM6,999. Pricing does not include insurance or government rebate and colour options are Velocity Gray, Nebula White dan Helios Orange.
The AE4 comes with a hub-mounted motor located in the rear wheel, rated at 1.,6 kW. A non-removebale 74V 27Ah battery provides power, giving the AE4 an overall power rating of 4 hp with a maximum speed of 65 km/h.
According to the specifications sheet, the AE4 is capable of sprinting from 0 to 30 km/h in 3.5 seconds. As for range, Zeeho says the AE4 gets 63 km of travel distance when measured according to World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) testing protocol.
Equipment fit out on the AE4 is of a reasonably level for an entry level electric scooter, including ABS, traction control and two ride modes. Other riding conveniences include an LCD instrument panel, cruise control, smart key system, LED lighting and hill hold control.
A 31-litre storage compartment is found under the seat while the floorboard is wide with lots of leg room. Rolling on 12-inch wheels, the AE4 is stopped by disc brakes front and rear while the rear shock absorber is adjustable for spring preload.
Greedy bike shop will sell this for rm10k and above.
Consumers now are clever. If the price is near or above 10k, several other alternatives are better. For example, color screen Blueshark R1
How long to charge up using our standard 13Amp socket outlet?
non-removable battery
Nope. battery is removable. You can see from other video.
Looking at the price and what’s offered.
Might as well stick to electric bicycle.
lol…
Summary specs AE4
1. Hub motor 1.6kw with up to 65km/h top speed
2. About 2kWh non removable battery (need to charge bike while battery is inside bike) with claimed 63km range, which is about 31.5km** per kwh of battery capacity. Thus, may not qualify for Mariicas RM2400 rebate here.
3. Price is non-OTR RM6999. Expect at least RM7.3-RM7.4k OTR, with free road tax.
Good to see more Electric JPJ approved bikes in Malaysia. Better to see local brands and innovation to compete on level playing field.
(**Average claims between 30-40km/kWh is reasonable, anything above that e.g. 80-100km/kWh is ‘exaggerated or highly dubious’)
For MARiiCas qualified bikes need to fulfill the 100km range criteria, so technically this AE4 claimed range 63km only… Not able to get incentive here (even though some advertising is claimable)
Look back at MARiiCas criterias in many news reports (during campaign launch period).
What do you mean non removable battery? There is a video from Icitymotor showing that the battery can be removed (swapable if the is a spare). I like the design and features very much compared to others. Price is not bad too.
