Here we go again. The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is offering discounts of up to 50% on saman in a five-day campaign that starts from tomorrow, November 5 until November 9, 2024.
In a post on its Facebook page, the Kuala Lumpur taffic investigation and enforcement department (JSPT KL) said motorists with outstanding summonses can pay for these at the Tun H.S. Lee police station, from 8.30am to 4pm daily during the campaign period, which will also involve a push in cashless payments.
As it has been in the past, details regarding the summonses’ discount have not been specified, but previous 50% discount offers during similar campaigns have been applicable only to those issued for selected offences.
As such, summonses involving traffic lights, emergency lane, double line overtaking, dangerous overtaking/queue cutting, accidents, non-compound (NC), court cases, exhaust modification and those involving heavy vehicles/lorries are excluded from any discount.

Yes. The Government says revenue must be raised. Taxes must be raised. Subsidies must be removed. All to bulk up coffers.
But hey, those that break the law we give special discount. Ikhlas.
