Just under a month since its official launch in Malaysia, the Haval H6 HEV has exceeded 1,500 bookings locally, with 200 units delivered to customers. The Haval H6 HEV is assembled at the EP Manufacturing (EPMB) facility in Pegoh, Melaka.
The H6 HEV arrived in Malaysia in a sole variant priced at RM139,800 on-the-road without insurance, through an initial run of 100 fully imported (CBU) units, after which deliveries have switched to the locally assembled (CKD) version.
Motive power comes from a 1.5 litre turbocharged inline-four cylinder petrol engine producing 150 PS from 5,500 rpm to 6,000 rpm with 230 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm to 4,000 rpm, and this is combined with a 177 PS/300 Nm permanent-magnet synchronous motor integrated into a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).
All in, the H6 HEV outputs a combined 243 PS and 530 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h run in 7.7 seconds. Claimed combined fuel consumption is 5.8 litre per 100 km.
Equipment includes dual-zone climate control, rear air-condition vents, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a Qi wireless charger and an eight-speaker audio system, with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.
Also on are a panoramic glass sunroof, a rotary dial gear selector, ambient lighting, ventilated and powered (six-way driver, four-way passenger, plus two-way lumbar support for driver) front seats, an electronic parking brake, a negative-ion air cleaner system, a head-up display and a ‘boss seat’ shoulder switch on the front passenger seat.
Driver assistance systems in the H6 HEV is of a Level 2 suite comprised of autonomous emergency braking (AEB), full-speed adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist and a Wisdom Dodge System, which actively maintains a safe distance from large vehicles.
In Malaysia, the Haval H6 HEV is covered by a seven-year, 200,000 km full vehicle warranty, and the first privately registered owner of the vehicle is covered by an eight-year, 1,000,000 km hybrid system warranty and a 10-year, 1,000,000 km engine warranty.

How come no one talked about is it a true suv about it’s off road capabilities? How does it drive? Rwd or fwd or 4wd assuming it’s a true SUV
Mentioned it’s a 2 speed dht. We kinda know that’s a gearbox but not much more. It’s it line the Taycan or like Prius gearbox? Etc. Come on Paultan.org, you can do better
all those disliked butthurt when most so called ‘SUV’ in Msia aint true SUV. They just lifted hatchback with no true AWD that works on all terrain
Most people (99%) only need enough “utility” in “SUV” to go over speed humps without scratching the underside. What off-road capability?
