Celebrating Toprak Razgatlioglu’s win in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) is the BMW M RR WSBK Champion Edition 2024. Based on the BMW M 1000 RR M Competition superbike, only 54 units of the M RR WSBK Champion Edition will be produced.
The production number of 54 is to signify Razgatlioglu’s racing number where in 2024 he netted 18 victories and a total of 27 podium finishes, with six pole positions and 13 fastest race laps. “El Turco”, as Razgatlioglu is known to fans, was the dominant rider of the 2024 season, giving BMW Motorrad its first ever WSBK championship.
Priced at 54,000 euro in Germany (RM305,281), each M RR WSBK will be personally autographed by Razgatlioglu and adorned with the original design and sponsor stickers of the factory racing machines. Ilmberger carbon components such as covers for the tank, frame, swingarm, wiring harness, and clutch cover, as well as fairing parts, an exhaust heat shield, and a carbon license plate holder, complement the M RR WSBK.
In addition to the mentioned features, buyers of the M RR WSBK will receive a voucher for a matching Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust system and a meet with world champion Toprak Razgatlıoglu in person. All 54 units are consecutively numbered and feature a special graphic commemorating the world championship title on the M Carbon tank cover.
In case you are curious, the very first M RR WSBK #1 is designated for the WSBK champion himself. Meanwhile, the last of the series, #54, will remain on display at the BMW Museum in Munich, Germany.
The M 1000 RR comes with an inline four-cylinder engine displacing 999 cc with BMW ShiftCam variable valve timing and producing 212 hp at 14,500 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. BMW claims a maximum speed of 314 kmh for the M 1000 RR, aided by aerodynamic winglets that 22.6 kg of downforce at 300 kmh.
This is complemented by M brake ducts and optional M Aero wheel covers that have been optimised for improved airflow around the fork legs and brake calipers. In Malaysia, the 2024 BMW Motorrad M 1000 RR has a recommended retail price starting at RM297,500.
