This monsoon season is wreaking havoc via flooding, and while the east coast states of Kelantan and Terengganu were the first to be hit, floods have since occurred in various states. It’s bad in Kedah and even the PLUS North South Highway that passes through the state is not passable to traffic.
The particular stretch of the PLUS that’s under water is KM32.1 to KM33.2 between Jitra and Hutan Kampung. The dark image from LLM you see above was from yesterday night and as of this morning (right pic), all northbound and southbound lanes are still closed to traffic.
If you’re heading north, turn off at the Kepala Batas exit, and if you’re heading south towards Penang, turn off at Jitra (S). The highway authority says that the ‘water trend’ is showing that the flood is receding – hopefully that continues. Drive safe.

Weird why so many still posting saying drive north to Hatyai all clear sunny no flood.
So misleading.
