ChargEV has revealed it will soon launch its first electric truck (e-truck) charging hub located close to the North–South Expressway in Tangkak. According to the charge point operator, the new facility marks a significant step in advancing the electrification of commercial fleets, which is an essential aspect of sustainable transportation.
Ahead of the charging hub’s launch, the ministry of energy transition and water transformation (PETRA) were treated to an early preview. “While this was just a preview, the energy and excitement shared by everyone at the site highlighted the growing momentum for sustainable travel. This hub is poised to become a vital part of the EV network along the PLUS highway, designed to support seamless and reliable journeys,” the company wrote in a Facebook post.
In addition to e-trucks, owners of electric passenger vehicles can also use the charging stations (there appears to be eight available based on the photos) to top up their batteries. This is according to replies by the company to queries on the matter.
