Ahead of Kia’s EV Day, the South Korean carmaker released the first images of the EV4 that will make its full debut at the event later this month. Showcasing the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the upcoming electric vehicle (EV) was previously previewed by a concept at last year’s EV Day.
If you were a fan of that show car, you will be glad to know that the production version doesn’t deviate too much in terms of styling. The striking exterior with its ‘EV Tiger Face’, gently creased surfaces, vertical ‘Star Map’ lighting signature, flush door handles and contrasting body panels are all retained for the car that buyers will get.
As previously reported, the EV4 will be offered as both a fastback sedan and a hatchback. The former was what was shown to us previously and incorporates a low bonnet line that flows rearward to a longtail design. Other standout cues include 19-inch wheels with “intricate technical stripe pattern” as well as a two-piece rear spoiler.
This is the first time we are given a look at the hatchback, which is distinguished by its short rump, black C-pillars that extend into the roof. We also provided images of both body styles with the GT-Line exterior, which introduces more aggressive bumpers featuring body-coloured “wings” at the front instead of the more subdued, all-black apron, joined by 19-inch wheels with a triangular motif.
Technical details will be revealed later, but it is said the EV4 will be built on the same E-GMP platform with an 800V electrical architecture as Kia’s current EVs and use the same powertrains as the EV3. Stay tuned as we bring you more information about the EV4 when it debuts alongside the Concept EV2 and PV5.

Just as polarsing as the Kia K4
Next. Boring.
Looking at Kia’s pricing in Malaysia, let me guess the price of this EV would be RM289K? Then EV4 can be sold at RM249K and finally EV2 at RM229K.
meanwhile in Malaysia Kia Niro was sold at RM270k under Bermaz and discontinued shortly after. Bermaz always overprice their products. Come on, Tesla Model Y only RM199k.. we can expect this one will be sold over RM300k just like the Kia EV6.. Kia will likely die in Malaysia under Bermaz.
that fastback design is certainly…a choice
