GWM Malaysia hit a new milestone recently with the delivery of the 500th unit of the Tank 300. This comes just over six months after the first 100 units of the off-road SUV to customers within a month of its launch in mid-July 2024.
The proud owner of the 500th Tank 300 in Malaysia is Ms. Wong, who said, “I first discovered the Tank 300 in China and was instantly captivated by its bold design and impressive capabilities. As soon as it launched in Malaysia, I knew I had to get one. What I love most about this SUV is its high ground clearance, making it perfect for my off-road adventures.”
“We are incredibly proud to see the GWM Tank 300 making such an impact in Malaysia, mirroring its success in China,” commented Cui Anqi, managing director of GWM Malaysia. “This achievement highlights the trust and enthusiasm Malaysians have for our brand. We look forward to building on this momentum with our upcoming Tank line-up,” he added.
This year, the Tank line-up will be expanded to include the Tank 500, which was previewed here last December. The Tank 500 is a larger vehicle compared to the Tank 300 and is expected to debut with a hybrid powertrain with 350 PS and 616 Nm of torque.

Congrats to tank 300 owners
GWM wanna do a toyota prado and well over-priced the car @rm250k, dumb move – if they have priced it more reasonable at under rm200k, they would have sold a ton load more of the T300 …
really like this kind of car but can’t afford now
Under badawi asean assembled/ manufactured were allowed easy access to our market and we got isuzu suv, pajero sport, …etc
Najib stopped this and local consumers either must pay more as need AP to import plus hefty taxes making asean assembled suv too expensive to sell.
