Kamax Cub-X Malaysian debut Q3, price approx RM9k

Scheduled for its Malaysian debut in the third quarter of 2025 is the Kamax Cub-X adventure kapchai, with a provisional price of around RM9,000. The Cub-X joins the Kamax Super Pro 125 in Malaysia under MForce Bike Holdings, which has a retail price of RM8,888.

Like the Cub Pro, the Cub-X features retro styling, with Malaysian market competition being the Yamaha PG-1, priced at RM6,998, as well as the Aveta Ranger, tagged at RM6,988. The Cub-X comes equipped with all-terrain tyres fitted to spoked tubeless 17-inch wheels, as well as a high mounted exhaust.

However, suspension remains the same as the Super Pro, with telescopic forks in front and twin shock absorbers in the rear, adjustable for preload. The Cub-X has a seat height of 780 mm, compared to the Super Pro’s seat height of 760 mm.

In the engine room, motive power comes from an air-cooled, single-cylinder engine displacing 125 cc and fed by Bosch EFI. Power is rated at 8.4 hp at 7,500 rpm with a maximum torque ofd 9.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm, going to the rear wheel via a four-speed rotary gearbox and chain final drive.

The Cub-X also comes in a few variants, including a choice between two-channel ABS or with Combined Braking System (CBS). There is also the option of solo seat with luggage rack or a two-seat version, along with tyre pressure monitoring.

Weight for the Cub-X is listed at 112 kg, with the fuel tank having a 3.8-litre capacity. It should be noted the final specifications for the Cub-X in Malaysia is yet to be finalised and the final configuration will only be seen the Cub-X is officially launched locally.
