Zeekr 9X teased ahead of expected debut at Auto Shanghai – flagship SUV with brand’s first hybrid tech

Zeekr has teased its new flagship SUV called the 9X, which is expected to make its debut at this year’s Auto Shanghai in April. According to CarNewsChina, a market launch will take place in Q3 2025 with an estimated price over one million yuan (about RM611k).

The 9X, previously known by its codename EX1E, will be the brand’s hybrid offering although details are limited for now. Reports from China indicate the Zeekr Super Hybrid system will integrate plug-in hybrid, pure electric and range extender technologies.

It is also said the 9X will be offered with a Grand variant, similar to the 009 MPV that has an ultra-luxurious version. The images provided by Zeekr show an SUV still wearing camouflage, but we can make out a blocky silhouette and cues such as a flush door handles, a roof-mounted lidar and what appears to be a large front grille.

A final bit of info we found is the 9X will measure 5.2 metres long, so it is going to be a big vehicle. More details should be announced closer to the SUV’s debut, which looks set to take place next month.

They have done well so far with their cars by not imitating any cars *too much* but this is a blatant copy of the RR, especially the rear.

Will wait for official non-camo photo but this is disappointing. They should have been more self confident
