ASEAN to introduce standard EV policy at May summit

A standard electric vehicle (EV) policy aimed at strengthening sustainability initiatives and accelerating the transition to clean energy in the ASEAN region will be announced during the upcoming ASEAN Summit in May.

According to minister of investment, trade and industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul, senior officials and leaders from member states have begun discussions on battery standardisation and cross-border EV charging infrastructure, reports Bernama. “The timeline and framework will be finalised and announced during the upcoming ASEAN Summit,” said Zafrul.

He added that the initiative aims to address range anxiety among EV drivers and promote the development of a resilient regional supply chain in the automotive sector. “This common EV policy will help ASEAN countries collaborate more effectively in meeting sustainability targets,” Zafrul commented.

Don’t forget investment guy remember to ask the AP Cronies to set up their standard across the region since as mention before AP can determine safe EV cars sold here in Malaysia so powerful AP than the maker itself.

This fool tried to sidestep our Southeast Asian neighbours by courting the Sawsticar company and giving it all sort of exemptions, and now after being swindled by Elonazi, he comes crawling back to ASEAN.
