Kelantan is set to receive eight electric buses valued at RM11.2 million, and these are expected to begin operations in the state in July, reported New Straits Times.
The new electric buses are to serve four new routes in the east coast state, including Kota Baru to Pengkalan Chepa and Kota Baru to Pantai Cahaya Bulan, said Konsortium E-Mutiara Bhd CEO Che Ibrahim Che Ismail. Fares for the electric buses will be determined by the land public transport agency (APAD), he said.
Travel on these upcoming EV buses will be free of charge for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and all students, as well as students at institutions of higher learning. Students will however be required to apply online for a pass, Che Ibrahim said.
Electric buses currently in operation include those under Smart Selangor, which operate along the SA1 route that connects the Shah Alam KTM station to Section 7 in the city. Meanwhile, public transport operator Prasarana will be shifting to EV buses after its last order of 310 diesel buses, which will be followed by the acquisition of 250 EV buses, transport minister Anthony Loke said in January.

I wonder how the state is going to manage these buses
existing bus station also century old, never pour effort to improve at all, politicians always condemn central government, but never look back what have they done for the state
This is a stage bus, not utilising the interstate bus station.
Spoken like someone who never step into Kelantan and only heard PH propaganda brainwashing.
Kelantan KB had one of the most modern & comfiest integrated bus terminals in Malaysia.
PH brainwashing?? then why so many kelantanese leaving their state for better jobs elsewhere? that’s why the bus company flourish
bro is high on drugs
Kelantanese really need to appreciate the services provided by our central government. Im as Ipoh Kia, also no chances to experience this. Bravo..
This service is operated by a private company based in Kelantan, nothing to do with the state gov.
