The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has released vehicle sales data for the month of March 2025, which saw a total of 72,704 vehicles delivered to customers.
With 65,061 units sold in February 2025 (revised up from the original 64k number reported in last month’s release), last month’s figure represents an increase of 12%.
The association attributed the increase to the Hari Raya festive celebration as well as attractive promos from auto companies. Comparing year-on-year figures, March 2025 is up 2% from March 2024 numbers, however total 2025 year to date still has some catching up to do, being down 7% so far.
The association expects sales volume to be lower for the month of April 2025 compared to February 2025 due to the long Hari Raya festive break which happened from March 31 to April 6.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Lets get real.March is history. The real kicker is now…after the insane Tariff guru Trump inflicted huge tariffs worldwide,he left a trail of economic destruction.
Many companies with huge export inventories like furniture , electronics etc are stuck. The buyers in USA refuse to import till things get clearer.
So,with huge running production costs, and sales to USA at a standstill…do u think employers will spare redundancy efforts?
So, those dudes who r on long 10 year HP car loans,do they have a plan B incase the employers start chopping staff?
People in Spore r already told to stop new car purchases, hse renovations, exit the volatile stock market, cut luxury travels etc.until the Trump volcano stops erupting.
Are we still spending as if there is no tomorrow?
