Proton eMas 7 in Malaysia

The Proton eMas 7 will be shown at The Car Expo that takes place in Singapore this weekend, according to the Proton eMas Singapore Facebook page. According to the post, the eMas 7 will be offered in Singapore as a Founders Edition on a limited basis.

Last December following the debut of the eMas 7 electric SUV in Malaysia, it was revealed that Proton will re-enter the Singapore market with the appointment of the Vincar Group as the official distributor for eMas electric vehicles. According to Vincar, a flagship showroom for the brand will be located at the Leng Kee automotive belt for sales and aftersales services.

In Malaysia, the eMas 7 starts from RM105,800 for the Prime, going up to RM119,800 for the Premium for the first 6,000 bookings made, according to the Proton website. The Prime is equipped with a 49.52 kWh battery that offers up to 345 km of range (WLTP), while the Premium gets a 60.22 kWh battery for up to 410 km of range (WLTP).

This is supported by DC fast charging at up to 100 kW for the Premium or 80 kW for the Prime, and both will take 20 minutes to recharge from 30-80%. Both take AC charging at up to 11 kW, which will require 4.9 hours for the Prime, and 6.1 hours for the Premium. For driving assistance features, the eMas 7 gets a suite of Level 2 ADAS functions.
