Good news for senior citizens living in Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) areas. In conjunction with Shah Alam’s silver jubilee year where it’s celebrating 25 years as a city, MBSA is offering free street parking to senior citizens. This is for good, and not a one-day thing.
The free parking initiative will be in street or council parking in MBSA areas, and is for those aged 60 and above. One has to be a MBSA ratepayer though, which means that you pay your cukai taksiran to MBSA. Only one car is allowed to be registered, and the vehicle has to be under the senior citizen’s own name.
One can fill up a form digitally via the QR code above, or via walk-in at Wisma MBSA, Seksyen 14, Shah Alam. You’re welcome to do so from 9am to 4pm on working days, but do take note of the lunch break, which is 1pm to 2pm or 12.15 pm to 2.45 pm on Fridays.
MBSA says that there’s is no deadline for registrations – this isn’t a limited time offer. For enquiries, call the one can call the Seksyen Pengurusan Hasil at 03-55133919 extension 1540/1521 or walk-in at Jabatan Kewangan at the 21st floor of Wisma MBSA.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
MBsA only know to collect parking and compound. Jalan kawasan parking berlubang sana sini dah bertahun2 dia biar je. Pastu sampah merata dia biar je. Tapi bab compound bukan main laju.
50% rebate would be more reasonable, or free extend 1 hour.
if Free, how to control 2 hours, or even 3 hours?
then it’s aligned with 2-hours Parking Rules.
Good
All the Majlis in Malaysia should provide free parking for senior citizens.
Other than “nice”, what is real benefit to the population? More overhead, segmentation, and rules. How many parking space does MBSA managed, theoretically can they all be filled by these car 24×7?
Can Penang implement this year?
