Aston Martin has teamed up with Lego to create a new Technic set, with the Valkyrie hypercar coming to life in plastic brick form. The new kit is part of a wider collaboration between Lego Technic and the Gameloft Asphalt Legends UNITE gaming platform, allowing gamers to play both the Valkyrie and the Lego version in game.
Developed in conjunction with Red Bull Advanced Technologies and AF Racing, Gaydon’s halo model is equipped with a naturally-aspirated AM-Cosworth RA 6.5 litre V12 and an electric motor, with the 1,140 PS on tap very much making for a vehicle pushing the limits of what is possible with a road-going vehicle.
The 707-piece Technic model replicates the Valkyrie’s aerodynamic shape and is dressed in the automaker’s iconic Podium Green finish. Model highlights include functional gullwing doors, a steering controlled by a top-mounted lever as well as a detailed V12 engine with moving pistons and a working differential.
“Our collaboration with Lego Technic celebrates the impossible engineering and visionary thinking that brought Valkyrie to life. By integrating it into the Gameloft Asphalt Legends UNITE gaming platform, we’re not only immortalising its legacy, but also introducing this otherworldly machine to a new audience in a creative way,” said Aston Martin executive VP and chief creative officer Marek Reichman.
“We’re thrilled to bring Aston Martin’s hypercar to life in brick form, as well as an in-game experience on Gameloft Asphalt Legends UNITE gaming platform. This latest set celebrates Valkyrie as the pinnacle of engineering, and this is emphasised through the moving functionality of Lego Technic,” said Alexandra Dragomir, marketing manager for Lego Technic.
Fully assembled, the Valkyrie model measures in at over seven cm tall, 29 cm long and 13 cm wide. Pricing for the Lego Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie is 59.99 euros/54.99 pounds/USD59.99.
