PLUS opens 3 extra lanes at Rawang Selatan toll plaza

PLUS has announced that three additional lanes have been opened at the Rawang Selatan toll plaza (Exit 115). The new lanes, which are accessed through a slip lane, are aimed at improving traffic flow at the plaza, especially for motorists heading towards Gamuda Gardens and Kundang.

In a statement, the toll concessionaire said that the Rawang Selatan toll plaza currently handles up to 29,000 vehicles daily, and the added capacity is projected to disperse the existing peak-hour traffic by 14% to 19%.

It said that this will have a positive impact not only on the Gamuda Gardens community but also on residents of surrounding areas such as Rawang, Kundang and Sungai Buloh as well as regular highway users of North-South Expressway.
