Chery Malaysia July 2025 promo offers up to RM16,000 discount; Omoda 5 and E5 EV, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro

Chery Malaysia is having a promo for July 2025 and there are big savings to be had across the brand’s range of SUVs, which consists of the Omoda 5, Omoda E5 EV, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.

The Omoda 5, which is now a familiar sight on our roads, comes with cash rebates of up to RM16,000. That’s for the H, which is the higher of the two variants, available in both single- and two-tone paint schemes. The base C variant (single tone only) can be had with RM12,000 off.

The same SUV in electric form is also on sale, but you have to ‘reach out to your nearest Chery dealer for more details’ on the cash rebate. By the way, in May, Chery announced a RM98,818 price for 2024 units, a big reduction from the March 2024 launch price of RM146,800. Is the discount even bigger now? Only one way to find out…

Cold hard discount aside, the Omoda E5 also comes with a free wallbox charger, V2L cable to power your appliances and RM1,000 worth of charging credit for when you’re on the move.

The Omoda E5 is powered by a 204 PS (150 kW) and 340 Nm front electric motor taking juice from a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. WLTP range is 430 km. The petrol Omoda 5 has a 156 hp/230 Nm 1.5-litre turbo-four paired to a CVT.

The Wuhu carmaker’s core range of Tiggo SUVs kick off with the Tiggo 7 Pro C-segment SUV (at least until the sub-RM100k Tiggo Cross is launched later this week), which is yours with a RM14,000 discount, whether single- or two-tone. If you want a larger three-row SUV, the Tiggo 8 Pro is being offered with a RM13,000 discount.

The smaller of the two Tiggos is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo-four with 197 hp/290 Nm, paired to seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The big Tiggo is the most powerful Chery-badged car in Malaysia – its 2.0T engine puts out 256 hp/390 Nm and is paired to a seven-speed DCT as well.

Really? Mitsubishi is giving up to RM20k rebates for July. Last time I checked, Mitsubishi is Japanese. The fact is car brands, aside from Proton and Perodua, are giving away big rebates this time of the year.

        • Since when Mitsubishi is a cold brand, you dummy. The Triton is 2nd best selling pickup in Malaysia and the Xpander is top 3 non‐national MPV. Why dont you just admit you are a China hater instead of beating around the bush?

Comfort, 7 years warranty better than Continentals,
