Shah Alam Car Free Day – roads around MBSA, Tasik Barat and Dataran Kemerdekaan closed Sun morning

The July 2025 edition of Shah Alam Hari Tanpa Kenderaan or Shah Alam Car Free Day will be happening this Sunday, July 13, Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) has announced.

To make way for the event, which emulates the KL Car Free Morning in blocking off city streets for residents to run, cycle, skate or scoot, MBSA has announced road closures.

The cordoned off area are roads around Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam and Tasik Barat, as well as the main thoroughfare that connects those two areas – the one that houses SACC Mall and MBSA’s headquarters. If you’re joining, there are designated parking spots around the route – see the map above.

The road closures for the event will be from 6.30 am to 9.30 am.
