Spy images of the iCar (we know the brand as iCaur in Malaysia) V27 without camouflage have been revealed by Inside China Auto on X/Twitter, offering a better look at the exterior details of the SUV that was teased in May, ahead of its planned debut in the fourth quarter of this year.
Here, the spy images show a range of details previously concealed by the camouflage foil, such as what appears to be the indicator housing that is separate from the main headlamp assembly. Meanwhile, the five-spoke wheels appear similar to those on the camouflaged unit shown previously, and is shown in these newer images in a matte black finish.
The yellow unit photographed here also sports a pair of side steps, which were not shown on the previous, camouflaged example. Towards the rear of the V27, the rear end of the daylight opening is shown to have a thick D-pillar, with a slim strip just ahead of the tailgate edge.

Exterior styling cues already revealed previously include large side mirrors, a side-hinged tailgate (with attached storage box), vertical taillights and rectangular headlamp clusters with integrated circular LED daytime running lights.
The V27 will be the third model in the brand’s line-up after the 03/03T and V23, the duo which brings rugged off-roader styling, as does the V27.
From prior information from the Chinese ministry of industry and information technology (MIIT), the V27 will be the largest of the iCar/iCaur trio, as this is said to have an overall length of around 4.9 metres, whereas the 03 measures about 4.4 metres long, and the V23 around 4.2 metres long.
Powertrain for the V27 is expected to be a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine that serves as a generator as part of an EREV configuration, and is said to offer rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants with a pure electric range of around 200 km on the CLTC testing protocol.
