PLUS closing Pedas Linggi, Bukit Gantang R&Rs for refurbishment – new look to debut end-2027, Q1 2028

North South Highway users, take note. PLUS has announced that it is closing the E2’s Pedas Linggi northbound (KM225.5) and Bukit Gantang southbound (KM225) R&Rs for refurbishment. The two rest areas will be given a fresh building design that incorporates green features.

The works at Pedas Linggi will take around 18 months and is expected to open its new doors by the end of 2027. PLUS says that as an alternative, motorists heading north can use the Restoran Jejantas Ayer Keroh, Senawang rest area, R&R Seremban and other rest stops.

Meanwhile, works at Bukit Gantang will take around 20 months and the R&R is scheduled to reopen in Q1 2028. Note that the Caltex and Petron petrol stations at the site will remain open and operational throughout, so there’s no need to change refuelling routines. Nearby R&Rs are Gunung Semanggol, Taping and Sungai Perak.

Temporary toilet and surau facilities will be provided at the two locations, PLUS says.
