MRT Putrajaya Line disruption due to cable theft between Sg Buloh, D’sara Damai – will last whole day

The MRT Putrajaya Line is facing service disruption today due to power supply issues between Sungai Buloh and Damansara Damai stations. Rapid Rail’s engineering team has pointed to cable theft near the Damansara Damai station and since big scale repairs are needed, the disruption is expected to last the whole day today.

As such, trains coming from Putrajaya Sentral (and KL) will turn back at the Metro Prima station in Kepong. The frequency is six minutes. There will be a shuttle train between Metro Prima and Damansara Damai, and the interval for this ulang-alik train is eight minutes. Take this train if you want to bridge the gap to Damansara Damai.

As for trains coming from the other side, which is Kwasa Damansara, they will turn back after making the short journey to Damansara Damai. The frequency here is eight minutes.

Rapid Rail says that commuters can expect longer waiting times at platforms, especially at stations between Metro Prima and Damansara Damai. Auxiliary police and station staff have been deployed to assist commuters, and there will be station announcements.

Free buses have been deployed and are plying the route from Metro Prima to Kwasa Damansara, with frequencies of 15 to 30 minutes during peak hours and 30 to 45 minutes non-peak. This depends on traffic conditions, of course. Anyway, Rapid Rail is advising commuters to look for alternative transport to continue their journey.
